Welcome to Illuminations By Design on-line shopping services. If you wish to purchase from our on-line catalog, you agree to accept these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully. Illuminations By Design reserves the right to modify or change the Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice to you.
Order Accuracy
You will receive an order confirmation with a list of all items ordered. Please check this e-mail to confirm its accuracy and contact us immediately if you have any questions. Illuminations By Design is not responsible for items purchased in error and will not assume any cost to exchange items ordered in error.
Custom Order Items
Any items designated custom order items will be subject to extra freight charges, special order fees & other charges that apply. Special order items could also be subject to longer lead times.
Coupon PolicyÊ
Coupons cannot be combined with any other special offers, instant quotes, or quoted discounts. Coupons are limited to one per customer per order and are available for one-time use only. Coupons and other discount offers are not transferrable or redeemable.
Product Pictures on IlluminationsByDesign.net
The pictures of the items on the Illuminations By Design website are provided by the manufacturers of the products. These pictures are professionally photographed and are the same as or similar to manufacturers' printed or on-line catalog. Products may vary from their photos, however, as a result of selected features (such as finish or glass) or variations in computer monitor resolution and color. Illuminations By Design is not responsible for variations in product image, including images where the manufacturer uses one image of a product that has many different variations, including finishes.
Pricing or Product Description Discrepancies
Illuminations By Design makes every effort to assure the accuracy of the pricing and product information on our website. From time to time, pricing or product description may be inaccurate. In such cases, we reserve the right to cancel your order. A complete refund will be made for any items that have not yet been shipped. In the event of inaccurate product information, our sole responsibility will be to accept the product returned and provide a customer refund.
The descriptions of the items on the Illuminations By Design website are provided by the manufacturers of the products. These descriptions and specifications are the same or similar to manufacturers' printed or on-line catalogs, but some variations may occur. Illuminations By Design is not responsible for any variation in product description or specification provided by the manufacturer.
Sales Tax
Illuminations By Design charges sales tax on all orders shipped to Colorado addresses. Customers outside the state of Colorado are accepting responsibility to pay their own sales or use tax to their state, city or local municipality on any purchase from Illuminations By Design.
Changing or Cancelling Your Order
Illuminations By Design attempts to process orders as soon as they are submitted, and we cannot accept changes or cancellations for orders that have already been processed.
We cannot guarantee that we will be able to cancel an order after a customer submits an order. However, customers wishing to change or cancel their order may call 303.948.9936 ext. 244 before 5 PM MST on the day of purchase. After 5 PM MST, customers should submit a request via sales@illuminationsbydesign.net. We will confirm all requests for a change or cancellation that are submitted after 5 PM. If you do not receive a confirmation within 24 hours, the request was not received. Please contact us again via phone. We will confirm receipt of your notice within 24 hours.Ê
The following orders cannot be cancelled at any time:
- Individual products under $60
- Orders with an invoice total greater than $2,000 or orders with 10 or more of the same item.
- Custom-made items
Delivery
Orders could take 2 to 4 weeks for delivery depending on availability. Occasionally production schedules change and a product will be temporarily out of stock. This can cause delays. Backorders from manufacturers are beyond our control. Please contact us at sales@illuminationsbydesign.net if your order has not been received in the time expected. We will contact you by e-mail with any backorder information we receive.
Orders for larger items will be subject to additional freight charges. Illuminations By Design will notify you of any additional costs before a product is shipped.
Shipping charges incurred due to incorrect address, zip code, or the refusal of an item will be charged back to the customer. We cannot ship to PO Box locations.
Seller is not to be accountable for delays in delivery. Factory shipment or delivery dates are the best estimates of our suppliers. In no case shall seller be liable for any consequential or special damages arising from any delay in delivery.
Accepting Shipments
Before accepting a delivery, you are required to inspect each and every box for damaged or missing items. By accepting delivery of a shipment, you acknowledge that the item(s) were received in 100% usable condition and that you have received every item listed on the packing slip. If you are not required to sign for a shipment and you received damaged goods, please contact Customer Service immediately to report the damage.
Shipping Damage
If the packaging appears to be damaged on the outside, please refuse to accept it from the carrier; or please make sure when signing the shipper's proof of delivery slip you include a note stating the package appears to be damaged. If you do accept a damaged shipment, please inform us and the carrier (UPS, FedEx, etc.,) immediately. Depending on the product and where/how it was shipped, it may be necessary for you to deal with the carrier yourself. Products received with broken glass or dented shades are not considered defective. In such a case, we will provide replacement glass or shades at no additional charge.
Refused DeliveriesÊ
If the product is refused upon delivery, the standard return policy will not apply. The customer will be responsible for the manufacturer's restocking fee which may be up to 50% of the purchase price of the item; as well as both initial and return freight charges.
If you discover damaged products upon opening a shipment and decide not to accept delivery, please contact Customer Service immediately to take appropriate action to resolve the matter. A claim will be filed with the carrier to credit your account for the damaged fixture, which we will replace at no cost. If the damaged product is repairable with replacement parts, these parts will be shipped at no cost. Illuminations By Design will not be responsible for expedited shipping of any replacement parts or products. If the replacement product is back-ordered extensively, we will retrieve the damaged product or instruct you to discard it and issue a credit for the item.
Returns
Refunds will only be issued under the following conditions:
- We accept returnable products within 14 days of receipt of the product if they are in the original packaging (including all packaging materials and accessories).
- The items must be suitable for resale. The customer will be refunded (less the shipping costs included in the initial order and up to a 50% restocking fee) once we have received the returned item and inspected the item for damage. Items returned will be issued a refund via the same method in which the item was purchased.
- Merchandise that has been installed, altered or damaged in any way does not qualify for return or refund.
- To return a product, DO NOT SHIP the product back without contacting us first to request a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) Number. Products without a valid RGA number will be refused from the shipper. A Return Goods Authorization may be requested by contacting us at sales@illuminationsbydesign.net . Once we issue an RGA, we must receive the product within 10 days or no refunds will be given.
- Merchandise must be returned and shipped at customer's expense.
- The following types of items and orders do not qualify for returns or refund.
- Customized products
- Large orders (10 or more of the same item)
- Orders more than $2000
- Customer quotes
- Light bulbs
- Lampshades
- Furniture
- Discount or clearance products, except for damaged or defective shipments
- When returning any item, please be sure to pack the product properly. We recommend that you purchase shipping insurance. We cannot provide a refund for any product received in our warehouse in damaged condition. In such a case, you must file a claim with the shipping company and advise us as what to do with the damaged product. We will hold your product for 45 days, after which the product will be destroyed.
- Please note that once a product has been received, we will work diligently to provide credit to customers as quickly as possible
Warranties
All products sold by Illuminations By Design are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. All light bulbs, including those that ship with products, are excluded from this warranty. Manufacturer's warranties will be furnished upon written request. If you have purchased a product from us and find it to be defective, please contact Customer Service at sales@illuminationsbydesign.net for assistance in processing your claim. Additionally, Illuminations By Design is not responsible for any labor costs which occur as the result of the installation of wrong or defective parts.
Defective Products
If within 14 days of receiving your order, any product proves to be defective, contact us immediately. The customer must notify Illuminations By Design of the product's defect viaÊemail to sales@illuminationsbydesign.net, within 14 days of delivery. If you do not notify us about broken, damaged, or defective goods within 14 days of delivery, we cannot replace them free of charge. DO NOT SHIP the product back without contacting us first for a Return Goods Authorization number (RGA) and return instructions.
Damaged, defective, or broken products must be received and inspected by Illuminations By Design or the manufacturer before a replacement is issued at no charge.
Privacy Policy
Illuminations By Design is committed to protecting your privacy. Information you provide us will not be sold or given to any outside party. We do share your address and phone number with the manufacturer responsible for shipping your order, but it is only used for the processing and shipment of the order. Illuminations By Design will only use your phone number to contact you in case of a problem with the fulfillment or delivery of your order.
